Project Description
The old building of the Lordelo Pharmacy in Vila Real was completely demolished to give way to a new pharmacy, with an innovative concept: with an oval plant, the two floor building is completely coated with corrugated and perforated aluminium, where the only straightforward opening is the very entrance of access to the sales area, marked by the giant cross on the outside, symbol that at night is green as a result of the recommended lighting, visible at long distance. By changing interior lighting and the own pharmacy symbol, the building gained momentum allowing to change its image from day to night. The property not only sells drugs, but also has its own advanced pharmaceutical handling laboratory. At the interior, the aim was to make everything as simple and straightforward as possible, allowing a comprehensive and rapid reading of the space where artificial lighting has gained a prominent role as it is oriented to allow the highlight products for sale.
