URBAN PARK OF OUR LADY OF SORROWS – TROFA

The urban park of Our Lady of Sorrows and the Park Dr. Lima Carneiro in Trofa, were physically separated by the old railway line. The prospect of taking the new metro line to Trofa, meant in 2010 the designed project of undergrounding this future line, leaving on the surface a link between the two existing parks. The resulting intervention was then infrastructured with a modern and decorative lighting, highlighting new paths within the park as well as its surroundings. In parallel, it was renewed all electrical power grid distribution for the existing equipment and the new building as well as all telecommunication networks, including a link in optical fibre to the Town Hall. The work, which took place over several years and was finally completed during the year 2015.
